Class Descriptions

All of our classes are beginner friendly. We teach Yoga in a way that doesn’t require a pre-existing set of skills, background, ability, or knowledge. All are welcome.

If you have questions about a class or would like help deciding which is right for you, we are happy to help. Simply send us a message.

A note on ‘levels’: Yoga has become synonymous with the physical aspects of the practice. While we aim to touch upon all parts of the spiritual lifestyle of Yoga, there are some students who may wish to know the specific physical intensity of a particular class.

In short, all classes are accessible and adaptable for beginners. The classes with a Level II/III designation indicate that they may be more physically challenging. If you would like to see something that isn’t offered here, please let us know.

  • Beginners Yoga is for anyone brand new to yoga or wanting a refresher class.

The class aims to be accessible to all regardless of age, race, size, physical ability, income, health, developmental disability, or other potentially limiting factors feel welcome in a yoga class so that they can experience the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits of yoga.

We may use walls, chairs, blocks, bolsters, blankets, straps, and other props to help make poses accessible to all students, and everything we do in class is easily adapted to work for each individual, whether they prefer to stand, sit on the floor, or remain seated in a chair.

A variety of options are demonstrated and provided for each pose, and special care is taken to ensure that everyone in class “finds their yoga” and experiences the benefits of this beautiful practice. No matter your situation, you are welcome and included in this class!

  • This class moves at a slow to moderate pace; we sometimes practice gentle sun salutations, standing and balance poses, seated stretches and more. Each class is different, depending on who shows up.
